Who will be the ones to look out for in European jazz in the future? A tough question that the 12 Points festival tries to answer each year - in 2017 as part of the Aarhus Jazz Festival.

12 Points showcases 12 young European bands and helps them take the next steps towards an international career.

The 11th run of 12 Points, which takes place every two years in Dublin and has been held in three Capitals of Culture, visits Aarhus Jazz Festival this year to give us a glimpse of where European jazz is headed.

12 Points showcases 12 young European bands and helps them take the next steps towards an international career. The concerts take place at Atlas from 16 July to 18 July and the musicians round off the day at HeadQuarters for Late Night European Jazz Jam.

Additionally, The Royal Academy of Music Aarhus hosts three seminars titled Jazz Futures, which take an in-depth look at how to create a sustainable future for jazz and the musicians of the genre.

12 Points concert will take place 16-18 July at Atlas between 16.00 and 22.00

12 Points showcases 12 young European jazz ensembles each year, creating a unique networking opportunity for its participants. It is a valuable resource for festival bookers and jazz media seeking a high quality pan-European showcase of emerging jazz talent.
