Musical encounter between the Scandinavian approach to jazz and American tradition. During the autumn of 2016, the band recorded a new jazz album with Nikolaj Hess as their producer at The Village. The album consists of Live Foyn Friis' compositions with interfaces of modern jazz, indie pop, and a lovely selection of covers of good old jazz classics. All in all, the album is melancholic and full of ballads where the band explores the encounter between the Scandinavian approach to jazz and American tradition – and let's not forget the clash between the Danish and Norwegian musicians. Live Foyn Friis is a Norwegian singer who has lived and studied in Denmark for many years. She has released four solo albums, has been nominated for several music awards in Denmark, and has been awarded titles like New Danish Jazz Artist of the Year and Young Jazz Composer of the Year. She has assembled a group of the most inspiring Danish and Norwegian collaborators and is looking forward to performing with the all-star team.
