Tango and jazz in wonderful and danceable unison. Tango feels at home in the sidestreets of Buenos Aires. The guidebooks recommend walking past them. Yet, they don't seem intimidating with their low lighting, but enticing with music resonating from the back yards. Every now and then, it shows up on public squares and large stages, and in new outfits outside Argentina. Take Cuesta Invisible, a tango-wise untraditional line-up who has chosen to interpret the part of tango closest to jazz and leaves room for musicians to play as soloists. However, the parts of tango that are fun to interpret on the dance floor have been preserved. The repertoire is a mix of covers of tango standards, tango covers of other standards, and original tunes by Jens Balder and Niels Vincent.
