New life for old Nordic songs, hymns, psalms. In an oasis in the middle of town, Hymnis combines traditional Nordic psalms and hymns with a jazzy soundscape, giving the songs a new format while maintaining their original expression. In a harmonious and rhythmically experimenting universe, the old Danish songs, which we all know so well, are given new life. Hear the songs arranged for a new line-up and sound played by four young, talented jazz musicians. Drop by Godsbanen and experience a new, exciting – and free – jazz project, which takes place of Godbanen's roof and in the yard on the 15th and 16th of July. The yard is turned into a cosy oasis, where the waiters from Spiselauget will be serving cold drinks and snacks while some of Aarhus' and England's best musicians are presented on stage. Tables can be reserved via firstname.lastname@example.org, or just walk in. Open from 10.00 am on both days.
