Explorative, challenging, and innovative jazz quartet. After intense practice, several international tours, and having lived together for the last four years, Bangin' Bülows Nice Jazz Quartet can be considered a real band. The quartet is a family. All four members are from the same area of Jutland, and some of them have even lived together since childhood. They formed the band four years ago and have since released two albums. Their debut album won them a DMA for 'New Jazz Artist of the Year 2014'. They have toured West Africa, Russia, and Norway, and have played countless gigs in Denmark. Now, they look forward to releasing their third album in collaboration with the world-famous guitarist Gilad Hekselman as their artistic producer. Bangin' Bülows Nice Jazz Quartet are curious, enthusiastic, informal, and adventurous. Although the music may be complex, their message is simple. Love for music in all its forms, colours or rhythms, or whatever makes them play and perform for an audience. Their musical universe is inspired by the world – and should be played all over it. Drop by Godsbanen and experience a new, exciting – and free – jazz project, which takes place of Godbanen's roof and in the yard on the 15th and 16th of July. The yard is turned into a cosy oasis, where the waiters from Spiselauget will be serving cold drinks and snacks while some of Aarhus' and England's best musicians are presented on stage.
