Hard-hitting, expressive, and dynamic solo concert. Øyunn, aka Siv Øyunn Kjenstad, is a drummer, composer, and singer. Her music is fresh, open, and well put together. Composed tunes and improvised bits meet in a characteristic and exciting sound performed solo on drums, vocals, and synth. Her songs contain singable melodies and grooves with exciting rhythmical and harmonic quirks. Siv Øyunn Kjenstad is known for hard-hitting expression and an attentive, dynamic playing style. A stable groove, as well as a personal and warm sound, take her across genres such as alternative rock and pop, jazz, improv, and electronic music. She collaborated with a string of artists both international and in Denmark. In the previous year, she did a world tour with Bugge Wesseltoft New Conception of Jazz and has performed with the likes of BRAK RUG (improv trio with Maja Ratkje and Øyvind Brandtsegg), Thomas Strønen on Time is a blind guide (ECM album 2015), Nils Petter Molvær, Charles Gayle, Ósk, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra & Christian Wallumrød, and Jon Balke’s Batagraf.
