Unique combination of classical string trio and modern piano trio. Lyrical-cinematic landscape, strong poetic melodies and energetic improvisations delivered by six musicians who are currently leaving their characteristic marks on the Nordic jazz scene. As a composer, Christian Balvig has collaborated with large bands such as Copenhagen Phil and Det Norske Blåensemble. However, in this project, he displays a more intimate and personal way of using the orchestral elements of jazz. One might call it chamber jazz from a musical shooting star. --- DMF's Youth Committee Aarhus host 'Soundfall on Godsbanen'. Experience an afternoon with four concerts, Friday 21 July, from 02.30 - 08.00 pm. Innovation, intensity, beauty and curiosity take centre stage. A diverse program that tries to capture the musical tendencies that point to future, while featuring multiple generations of musicians, and tries to build a bridge between the Aarhus and Copenhagen music scenes.
