From the beautiful to the furious – from quiet to full throttle.
Aarhus Improvisers Orchestra is a large band that belongs to the Aarhus jazz scene, especially the improv-based parts.
The music balances between controlled improvisational parts, written music, and free improv bits.
The band was formed in 2014 and played successful concerts at Vinterjazz in 2015 and Aarhus Jazz Festival 2016.
The band is currently preparing for this year's festival with a full program of beautiful, fierce, sincere, aggressive, melancholic, furious, quiet, and full throttle music.
