Jazz pianist Butch Lacy is American but has lived in Denmark for the past 35 years.
He has accompanied several great jazz stars through several years, including Lee Konitz, Chet Baker, Art Pepper, Bob Rockwell, and Joe Henderson. In 2002, at age 50+, he released his first, critically acclaimed album as a solo pianist with six jazz standards and a single original tune.
Since then, Butch Lacy has developed both as a pianist and composer in many different acts. In 2015, he received Jazzselskabet Aarhus' prestigious Gaffel award.
