A sensual, evocative and different church service

True to tradition, St. Luke's Church hosts a jazz service as part of Aarhus Jazz Festival.

The musicians Pojken Flensborg, Hans Mydtskov, and Torben Bjørnskov, who are bandmates in Nordens Tone as well as performing as sidemen in a long line of constellations on recordings and at concerts, lay the musical foundation for a sensual, evocative, and different church service where spoken word and music fuse into one in the spirit of Jazz & Poetry.

The musicians improvise over songs and psalms centred around a theme. Along the way, parish priest Vibeke Houmøller reflects on the topic while the musicians 'play' along.
