A legend visits Aarhus Jazz Festival 2018

One of the jazz heavyweights visits Aarhus and Musikhuset this summer.

With his only show in Denmark in 2018, Burt Bacharach performs in the Large Hall with a world-famous repertoire that has reaped numerous Grammys and Oscars.

The legendary jazz singer, songwriter, and composer has for more than seven decades left his mark as one of the foremost communicators and reinventors of the jazz genre, and his music has reached an unparalleled wide audience.

Already in 1970, he received an Oscar for his iconic tune Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

The talents of Burt Bacharach have been appreciated and utilised in collaboration with some of the biggest names of all time, including Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, and The Beatles, who have all recorded tunes featuring music or lyrics by Bacharach.

He has received two additional Oscars and eight Grammys for a career that has given us tunes such as What the World Needs Now is Love, What's New Pussycat? and I Say A Little Prayer. And there a many, many more where they came from.
