Songs from the heart and soul

Katrine Falkenberg made her debut in February 2017 with the critically acclaimed jazz album I De Små Timer, where she takes her listeners on an intimate journey through 12 secret stories that take place during the small hours where night falls and you feel like the only person in the world who is still awake.

She has joined forces with Stuart Goodstein to enter a world of peace and reflection through co-written arrangements and her Danish translations of famous songs from The American Songbook. Tunes from the heart and depths of the soul.

For this special occasion, they have assembled a crack team of experienced jazz musicians and expand the repertoire with arrangements from Stuart Goodstein’s album A Night Out, supplemented with other famous songs with heart.

Though she may be a debuting jazz singer, Katrine Langberg is no rookie. She is trained in musical theatre at the Royal Academy of Music in London, been a choir singer for Elton John, and has been an actress in Crazy Christmas Cabaret in Tivoli’s Glassalen and Aarhus for the last 10 years.

‘The singer Katrine Falkenberg dares enter jazzland and does so well, not least when she delivers her own Danish lyrics for American classics.’ (Kjeld Frandsen, Berlingske Tidende 13 March 2017 – Read more).
