Dea Marie paints lively pictures and tells refreshing stories with words that you'd want to taste and definitely won't be able to stop listening to. Marvellous sounds mixed with danceable and rocking rhythms - and enticing melodies.

Great variation, creativity, and curiosity characterise the music and the arrangements. Danish folk music, Cuban folklore, and Nordic jazz are some of the genres that have inspired Dea Marie.

The concert describes feelings that both kids and grownups can relate to. The entire spectrum from floating happiness to being sad and a little angry is represented.

Dea Marie is a liberatingly honest and intimate act. Her music appeals to one's emotions and requires contemplation, calm, and time for the poetic, in contrast to the shallow pace characteristic of modern life.

The four band members met at the conservatory in Aarhus, where they performed in different constellations ranging from improv music to world and pop. Now, they have joined forces in order to create the special sound of Dea Marie.
