Atmospheric compositions and joint improvisation

With a string of nominations at the Danish Music Awards, Alex Jønsson has become an established name on the Danish jazz scene. As a guitarist, he has made a name for himself with acts such as I Think You're Awesome, Live Foyn Friis, Jakob Sørensen, and not least, his own Alex Jønsson Trio, who were chosen to represent Denmark at the Young Nordic Jazz Comets in Berlin.

Along with Jens Mikkel Madsen on double bass and Andreas Skamby on drums, Jønsson creates an intimate musical universe, which effortlessly rubs off on the listener.

Together, they depart on a mission with atmospheric compositions and joint improvisations. They listen for scratches, rhythms, and reactions that may lead them to something bigger.

Alex Jønsson Trio has released two albums and toured all over Europe as well as India, leaving deep impressions with listeners and critics and home and abroad.
