Popular Disney tunes, classic swing, and original Latvian big band music

The Latvian youth big band Melngailskolas Big Band takes the stage at Ridehuset Swings 2018 as part of the official Scandinavian Big Band Camp 2018, which is hosted by Aarhus Jazz Orchestra.

Melngailskolas Big Band consists of young big band apprentices ages 14-23 from Liepaja Musc, Art and Design School in Latvia.

The concert programme consists of popular music from Disney movies, classic swing composer, and Latvian artists such as Raimonds Pauls and Uldis Marhilevics.

Melngailskolas Big Band can also be experienced at the huge finale show of this year's Scandinavian Big Band Camp near the end of the jazz festival.
