New Nordic jazz

Waidtløw4 is the name of a formidable new quartet led by Claus Waidtløw.

Claus Waidtløw is one of the country's most acclaimed and in-demand saxophonists and composers. As a musician, he is renowned for his original and melodic compositions for small jazz ensembles and large, complex pieces for big bands.

Claus Waidtløw's recent releases have been written for big bands, including in collaboration with Aarhus Jazz Orchestra. Now, he returns to leading a smaller band. 

Waidtløw's new quartet consists of some of the best and most respected musicians on the Danish jazz scene and will be presenting music from their newly released album. The music has been composed by Claus Waidtløw and can best be described as modern melodic jazz with a notable Nordic expression.
