Feelgood jazz with blues feel and groovy beats
Tap Point play soul jazz. Feelgood jazz with bluesy bits and groovy beats, as well as harmonic experiments, complex rhythms, and, at times, a challenging approach to time periods.
Soul jazz started in the early 60s, during which jazz split into two. Soul jazz was the more folky / groovy part and would be the precursor to soul, hip-hop, and R&B.
Tap Point's tunes are rooted in tradition, but also include ideas and methods from electronic and Latin American music.
The music has been composed and arranged by Morten Klit and Theo Hjorth.
