Personal and Energetic Jazz by the Trio Tom / Nissen / TB and Erik Kimestad

Asger Nissen:

Since he arrived in Berlin in late 2017, Danish alto saxophonist Asger Nissen has built a solid reputation as a sought-after musician on the German jazz scene. His strong personal sound and energetic inquisitive style have led to collaborations with a wide range of musicians from the European jazz scene. Asger Nissen has toured numerous European clubs and festivals and is the recipient of the 2021 JIB Jazzpreis der Karl Hofer Gesellschaft for outstanding soloist.

Thorbjørn Stefansson:

Thorbjørn Stefansson is a double bassist and composer living in Berlin. An integral part of the Berlin jazz scene, he has collaborated with numerous national and international artists such as Loren Stillman, George Garzone, Kit Downes, Jim Black, Wanja Slavin, and Jonas Burgwinkel. Thorbjørn is part of numerous projects including the debut album for the trio Dream Big Fish in 2024. Other releases include Sun Ark (2024), Nissen Mosh - Precious (2022), and Rasmus Holm Quartet - Fatamorgana (2021). In 2021, he received the JIB Jazz Award for "Outstanding Soloist".

Kasper Tom

Over the past 15 years, drummer Kasper Tom has made a name for himself on the European improv / avant-garde scene, not least as leader of the groups FUSK and Kasper Tom 5, but also as a sideman in various ad hoc projects with musicians such as Rudi Mahall, Alexander von Schlippenbach, Axel Dörner, and Johannes Bauer. He is part of the critically acclaimed collective Barefoot Records and has 20 releases to his name.
