The Jazz Movie Stemmer i Jazzen Takes You Behind the Scenes of the World of Jazz

Step into the enchanting world of jazz with the movie Stemmer i Jazzen, which invites you to the front and back stages with three dynamic Danish composers and jazz musicians: Christina Dahl, Benita Haastrup and Kathrine Windfeld. 

These internationally renowned musicians have received the prestigious Ben Webster-pris award, which is given annually to an artist with a personal touch in jazz music. The award marks a career milestone and speaks to their impact on the national and international jazz scenes.

Christina Dahl is a saxophonist who composes music for small and larger bands. She masters the ability to maintain the intensity and closeness of the music and her style ranges from intimate and understated to explosive.

Benita Haastrup is a charismatic musician who has won several awards for her vibrant and colorful drumming. She is known for her own trio, the band Sophisticated Ladies, and also plays a number of jazz concerts for children.

Kathrine Windfeld achieved great recognition at an early age with her big band and sextet. Although her music is sophisticated and complex, it is also highly catchy and appealing thanks to Windfeld's natural flair for strong melodies and captivating rhythms.
