Update on Summer Jazz 2020

Aarhus Jazz Festival presents Summer Jazz 2020, where we will gather the jazz activities that can be held during the normal jazz festival period 11-18. July.

Many things will be different this year due to covid-19, but the Aarhus Jazz Festival and our organizers have been constantly working to find solutions so that as many jazz activities as possible can be carried out safely.

In phase 3 of the reopening of the community, concerts with up to 500 seated audiences can be held, as long as the authorities' rules are upheld.

The Aarhus Jazz Festival will be able to present 100-150 concerts such as Summer Jazz 2020 at many different venues including in Musikhuset Aarhus, Helsingør Theater / Den Gamle By, Aarhus Cathedral, Skt. Lukas Church, at Erlings Jazz & Beer Bar, Café Støj, in Sydhavnen at Colabs and others.

As everyone is still working to get all the concerts in place, the full program will not be ready until the end of June on the website www.jazzfest.dk. The program will also be presented on apps at AarhusGuiden and LiveJazz (JazzDanmark). Also check out the jazz festival facebook at www.facebook.com/Aarhusjazzfestival/

For Summer Jazz 2020, musician and designer Simon Eskildsen has produced a special poster for the Aarhus Jazz Festival. Simon won last year's Aarhus Jazz Talent 2019 for his musical and graphic work in the Aarhus jazz environment.
