The jazz scene in Aarhus and East Jutland is in a creative period with many young jazz musicians and organizers working on exciting and innovative projects. Envisioned by Daniel Sommer, Aarhus Jazz Festival established an Aarhus Jazz Talent Award in 2018, which has so far been awarded to Karmen Rõivassepp, Simon Eskildsen, Erlings Jazz- & Ølbar, and Malthe Jepsen.

In 2022, the prize of DKK 10.000 is sponsored by Aarhuus Stiftstidendes Fond. Anyone can nominate candidates for Aarhus Jazz Talent Prize 2022 during this year’s jazz festival and until September 1.
