Musikhuset swings again this year during the jazz festival

A cornucopia of beautiful jazz is presented during the summer festival in Musikhuset and Musikhusparken.

The concerts in and outside Musikhuset Aarhus presents the people of Aarhus and the city's guests with 27 exciting concerts over seven days. Among other things, the audience can look forward to experiencing big, international stars such as Pat Metheny, Curtis Stigers and world-class funk with Tower of Power. Curtis Stigers sings alongside the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra at the traditional Jazz Gala in Musikhuset. Jakob Bro and Palle Mikkelborg collaborate with the percussion icon Marilyn Mazur and Jørgen Leth, and Dopha can be experienced in the company of Peter Vuust.

The extensive free program offers four evening concerts with Aarhus Jazz Orchestra and guest conductor Dennis Mackrel, paying tribute to the legend Thad Jones, who would have turned 100 this year. In addition, there is children's jazz, Michael Vestbo Trio, Blood Sweat Drum + Bass, Danish Youth Jazz Orchestra, Anna Roemer, Strik & Jazz and lots of other good things on the programme.
