This years poster

We are now ready with this year's art poster for the Aarhus Jazz Festival. This year, the poster is full of summer and an adventurous jazz atmosphere. And it is pink. A color that exudes hope, which is much needed in the world right now. 

The Belgian illustrator Elise Vandeplancke is behind the poster. She creates a visual world that is inhabited by inspiring people, plants and animals. They help her to capture a message or identity into an illustration. she draws for newspapers, magazines, advertising, posters, packaging,... Elise is co-organizer of Potloodvenster, a fun illustration festival.

“We were looking for a poster artist who could convey the very special atmosphere that spreads in Aarhus when the Aarhus Jazz Festival transforms the city into a true goldmine of musical experiences every summer,” says the CEO of Aarhus Jazz Festival. The poster is adorned with quirky musicians with large horns, a piano gull and a dove of peace, which may be in the process of being straightened. A bass player is on his way at full gallop on horseback. With others, the poster is an expression of the diversity of jazz that the festival represents. At Aarhus Jazz Festival we present all kinds of jazz, from the great big bands to the most improvised and artistic experiments. As a seasoned jazz lover, you will be able to search our program for the many recognized names and new talents playing at the festival. For those who need a little help setting the mood, we have made it easy to navigate the program, so you can search for whether you want beautiful melodies, want to dance, want to go on musical adventures or choose one of the many other categories. From July 11-20, Aarhus Jazz Festival presents up to 350 concerts at around 40 venues spread throughout the city.
