Four young jazz musicians dive into the world of Bill Evans. Of all the important figures that contributed to the development and direction of jazz from the 1950s and onwards, there is now way around pianist Bill Evans. A pianist, whose new ways of think jazz harmonics lives on in textbooks. A pianist, whose hunt for beauty has inspired countless of followers among the living jazz musicians. Experience four young and capable jazz musicians dive into the world of Bill Evans and present their version of his compositions and arrangements. The concert will consist of music played in the traditional style of Bill Evans, as well as new imaginings of his tunes. Drop by Godsbanen and experience a new, exciting – and free – jazz project, which takes place of Godbanen's roof and in the yard on the 15th and 16th of July. The yard is turned into a cosy oasis, where the waiters from Spiselauget will be serving cold drinks and snacks while some of Aarhus' and England's best musicians are presented on stage.
