Music that explores and challenges time and space

Guitarist and composer Rasmus Oppenhagen Krogh presents his atmospheric music with a true dream team of musicians from the Danish scene.

Aside from the bandleader on guitar, the quartet consists of the two heavyweights Anders "AC" Christensen on bass and Ned Ferm on tenor sax, as well as the young talented drummer Laurits Hyllested.

Rasmus Oppenhagen Krogh brings along his debut album, Distill, released in June 2017. An album that was made in collaboration with trumpeter Kasper Tranberg, drummer Oliver Laumann and Anders "AC" Christensen.

This evening's concert is based on the music of Distill. The music explores and challenges time and space and works across the complex and simple. The listener is taken on a journey through different sensory impressions and moods, where the open compositions allow the audience to swim in a saturated and melodic universe.

Despite his young age, Rasmus Oppenhagen Krogh is a very versatile and sought-after guitarist. In addition to his work as a composer and bandleader in his own groups, he is active in a number of different constellations, including the acclaimed band Kentaur. He has played with a number of distinctive names, including Jesper Zeuthen, Nikolaj Hess, Schultz and Forever, and Adi Zukanovic.
