Trærup/Sejthen Duo – Frokostjazz (DK)
Tunes from the Great American Songbook and original tunes
The musical buddy duo Trærup/Sejthen is the result of a 20-year collaboration.
The duo is primarily known for accompanying the singer Inda (Rioss-More), who rose to international fame with the album Heartland (2015), which was nominated for a Grammy award.
Actually, it was the duo collaboration that laid the foundation for the intimate and vulnerable sound that would later become the trademark of the trio Indra. On the many tours around Europe with Indra, the duo has had the opportunity to find a sound where openness and space are the central elements.
This afternoon show will centre on the Great American Songbook, where the ballads and slow-swinging standards will be handled with great care. The repertoire will consist of Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, and Miles Davis combined with some of the duo's original tunes.
This concert is part of Lunch Jazz in the Bispejazz tent, where food and refreshments are served during the acts.
