Exploring the Danish and Swedish songbooks

Nordklang Duo consists of the 21-year-old musicians Nina Rågård (vocal) and Jakob Kjær Bødker (piano).

Through their evocative and intimate sound, the duo explores the Nordic style and mixes the melancholy of folk melodies with the spirit of community singing, and the nuanced harmonies of jazz.

Both musicians are rooted in the songbook of the Danish folk high school. Through covers of the old songbook, they bring new life to old tunes and combine tradition and innovation.

The duo also explores Swedish tradition through folk songs as well as old and new jazz. Mixed with Danish songs, Nordklang Duo creates a complete and multi-faceted Nordic expression.
