Tango and jazz in beautiful and danceable unison

Cuesta Invisible has found its expression in the narrow streets of the tango, the small side streets of Buenos Aires, where the tango feels at home, but which the guide recommends walking by. Nevertheless, one is tempted to follow the inciting music into different backyard.

Now and again, tango pops up in public places and on larger stages in new guises outside of Argentina. One example is Cuesta Invisible, an unconventional tango crew, who have chosen to interpret the part of the tango closest to jazz while leaving room for the musicians as soloists. This is also the part of the tango that is exciting to interpret on the dance floor.

The repertoire is a mix of interpretations of tango standards, tango interpretations of other standards, and original compositions by Jens Balder and Niels Vincentz.
