Sweat-dripping and soulful duo jam

It is a great pleasure to be able to welcome a jam session with Esben Just, Denmark's New Orleans Rock'n'Blues pianist and entertainer no. 1. Sing-a-long voices and hand clapping will be required when he fires up a show based on his love for all the New Orleans' musical delights.

There is intensity and authenticity in the air when Esben Just sits behind the piano and microphone to evoke spirit and life. A love letter to hand-played music and the beat that rises when the moment is grasped and played with an open mind.

Blues / gospel singer James Loveless also performs. For several years, he was a regular soloist in Klüvers Big Band, where he had an inspiring collaboration with jazz legend Thad Jones.

In addition to performing as a singer in various soul / jazz contexts, James Loveless has also had a solo career and in the mid-80s he published a pop record as a solo artist with subsequent television appearances and a tour. In 1988, he formed the blues band Shades of Blue. The band, which was able to celebrate its 30-year anniversary last year, has toured all over Denmark.

In recent years, James Loveless has also had the pleasure of performing with his son Shaka Loveless in connection with a large tribute concert for B.B. King in Amager Bio and at Tønder Festival.
