Classic blues, folk and blues in a contemporary edition
When H.P. Lange and his band visit Aarhus Jazzklub, either in the club or during the festival, they fill the house, and with good reason.
One reviewer came by in 2017 and liked what he heard:
"H. P. Lange and band made a great bid at classic blues, folk and gospel as it can sound today. Lange himself is an eminent guitarist, not least when he takes on the steel guitar. ... These are stories that are told, it's original music being played. As original as now a small handful of Danes can do it. ... This was good."

The band's music comes from the same roots as the classic jazz, and whether you love one or the other beforehand, you can easily enjoy this honest, authentic and compelling ensemble.
In 2019, the fourth man is a former long-standing band member, the harpist Jarno Varsted, who usually works in Berlin.
