Shades of Blue is the top live blues band

This was established in 2018 when they won the DMA Blues Live Award for live blues band of the year and whilst celebrating their 30th anniversary.

The motivation was as follows:

"Subliminally merged, technically sovereign and with a musical surplus of unprecedented heights".

The quartet stated:

- We've been practicing. And we got better.

Said by bassist Morten Brauner with a warm twinkle in his eye when the DMA statuette was presented.

Over the years, the band has given lots of concerts in both Denmark and abroad, and their fans count audiences of all ages. Even after all these years, the music still has nerve and soul. This will also apply when Shades of Blue goes on the play the Bispejazz stage as the final band to close down the square during the 31st edition of the Aarhus Jazz Festival.

The concert is part of the event 100 years of jazz in Aarhus with the support of the William Demant Foundation, the CAC Foundation and the Nordea Foundation "We support good living".
