Alberte Svenningsen – Traneblæs (DK)
Nordic notes and American jazz tradition
Alberte Svenningsen is a saxophonist with roots in Northern Jutland. Her music consists of captivating and easily accessible melodies performed playfully to the audience.
The songs are inspired by Nordic melodies, everyday sounds and thoughts as well as American jazz tradition.
The quartet plays without a chord instrument, giving the musicians greater freedom to colour and play with melodies and sounds. This alternative composition of instruments and musicians gives rise to exciting and colourful improvisations in various instrumentations.
Jazz is an exciting genre and Alberte Svenningsen likes to make it accessible and interesting to everyone.
