Modern acoustic jazz

Aloft Quartet is a Scandinavian band playing modern acoustic jazz. The music is vibrant and playful centered around the melodies – original compositions with structured chord progressions and grooves that take the listener on a journey through joy, sorrow and melancholy.

The band's sound is a distinct and varied landscape made up of the four musicians merging into a unified sound.

Niels Overgaard (JazzNyt) writes about their debut album:

"First Year is a successful debut album that presents four new and exciting jazz musicians. That they also have a sense of making good compositions of the melodic kind at the same time is an added plus. The album promises well for the future of the Danish jazz scene."

The album got them the award for the New Danish Jazz Act of the Year at DMA 2018.

At the concert, they will play songs from the record as well as a bunch of new tunes.
