Jazzy interpretation of Tango

Cuesta Invisible found its sound in the narrow streets of the tango, the small side streets that lead down to the milonga in the city's populous neighborhoods, where the tango feels at home, but the guide advises against visiting. However, this only sparks your curiosity as you follow the inciting music into another backyard.

Now and then, tango shows up in public places and larger scenes as well as, in a new guise, outside Argentina.

One example is Cuesta Invisible, an untraditional tango band, who have chosen to interpret the parts of tango that are closest to jazz and leave space for the musicians as soloists.

The repertoire is a mixture of interpretations of tango standards, tango renditions of other standards and original compositions by Jens Balder and Niels Vincentz.
