Exploring the Nordic sound

At Aarhus Jazz Festival, Frederik Vuust Trio performs every afternoon at Tir Na Nog in Frederiksgade. The trio consists of Frederik Vuust on piano, Adrian Christensen on bass and Mikkel Vuust on drums.

During the week, the trio will cover a wide repertoire of songs and play music in various jazz genres, such as bossa, bebop, modern and Nordic, accompanied by a number of excellent guest soloists.

This afternoon, they are joined by another member of the Vuust family, Christian Vuust.

Christian Vuust, with his mature and sonorous playing style, has created a solid reputation on the Danish jazz scene. He is particularly well-known for exploring the special Nordic sound and has recorded 19 albums as a bandleader and been featured in more than 60 as a sideman over the years.
