Incredible live experience with jazz and soul singer Myles Sanko
Myles Sanko is from London and is known as the love child of soul music. He began his music career by singing and rapping to the rhythms of nightclub DJs. Since then, he has stood face to face with popular bands like Bijoumiyo, opened for the formidable Gregory Porter and worked with the funk kings from the group Speedometer.
- For me, music is the key to communication between people. When I write, play and sing music, it's not to fit into either the soul or jazz genre - the music just comes naturally and as it is, Myles Sanko explains.
With his honest, sensitive and straightforward style, he is able to connect past, present and future.
Myles Sanko recorded his debut album in 2013 - a mini-album titled Born in Black & White. Without any advertising, the album sold so well that Myles immediately knew he was on to something.
On his latest album, Just Being Me, Myles Sanko explores his inner self and is present in every part of the music. The album challenges style and genre with rich instrumentalization and colorful arrangements.
- This album is about love, hope and politics. Just Being Me is the beginning of a new musical journey. It's about me, but equally as much about sharing with each other, says Myles Sanko.
