Fusion, world, hip hop and rock

Bette Big Band is a Danish ensemble with roots in Klejtrup Musikefterskole. The music is primarily fusion jazz, but with elements of genres such as world, hip hop, and even rock.

The music is instrumental with skewed rhythms, deep soundscapes and melodic brass themes that combine into music that you can move to, but which also expands the audience's musical horizon. Thus, the group is not afraid to move into adventurous solos and improvisational bits.

The orchestra is based in Aarhus and deeply rooted in Aarhus music culture.

The concert is arranged in collaboration with Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (MS), which operates the Dome's Café on a daily basis. MS works towards bringing democracy and influence to the world's poorest and is part of ActionAid International, which is fighting to eliminate poverty in more than 40 countries.

The Dome is run by Aarhus Municipality, as part of De forenede Bylivshuse.
