Melodic and virtuosic jazz

At Aarhus Jazz Festival, you can experience Frederik Vuust Trio every afternoon at Tir Na Nog in Frederiksgade.

The trio consists of Frederik Vuust on piano, Adrian Christensen on bass and Mikkel Vuust on drums.

During the week, the trio will take on a wide repertoire of songs and play music from various jazz genres including bossa, bebop, modern, Nordic, accompanied by a number of excellent guest soloists.

In this afternoon, the trio will be joined by saxophonist Michael Bladt from Aarhus, a well-established act on the Danish music scene who has been featured on more than100 albums as a sideman in all genres of the world. As a composer, he has released three albums, with the latest, Next Step (2015), being well-received by critics.

Michael Bladt is known for his melodious and virtuosic expression with inspiration from both Nordic and American jazz.
