Exploring and challenging the sound of jazz

At Aarhus Jazz Festival, you can experience Frederik Vuust Trio every afternoon at Tir Na Nog in Frederiksgade.

The trio consists of Frederik Vuust on piano, Thorbjørn Stefansson on bass and Mikkel Vuust on drums.

During the week, the trio will take on a wide repertoire of songs and play music from various jazz genres including bossa, bebop, modern, Nordic, accompanied by a number of excellent guest soloists.

This afternoon, the trio will be joined by Claus Waidtløv, who is a particularly renowned saxophonist both in Denmark and abroad. Claus Waidtløv is a virtuoso on his instrument and has explored and challenged the sound of jazz over the years. Most recently, he has released the critically acclaimed album New Beginning (2018).
