A virtuosic and playful grapple with jazz

The world-famous German bass clarinetist Rudi Mahall, together with two young Danes, bassist Jens Mikkel and drummer Kasper Tom, take on a virtuosic and playful grapple with jazz.

It swings, it screams, it cries and it pleases.

The three musicians know each other from Kasper Tom 5, which has released two acclaimed albums, but now gather around core repertoire of jazz: the standards.

However, harmony, rhythm and form are challenged without losing appeal and momentum.
