Charismatic Adrian Cox returns to Aarhus Jazz Festival

Clarinetist Adrian Cox has again found time to visit Aarhus Jazz Festival. We look forward to welcoming the always busy musician back home for six days.

Adrian Cox began playing music as a six-year-old and became a professional at the age of 15. He has toured Europe for the past 19 years and has been called "London's most charismatic reeds man" (Time Out London).

During his career, he has played with artists such as Wynton Marsalis, The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Dr. John, Maceo Parker, Ronnie Wood and Guy Barker.

Adrian Cox is influenced by the great New Orleans clarinetists such as George Lewis, and has recently toured with his show called Profoundly Blue, celebrating the music of his favorite clarinetist Edmond Hall. His 2018 tour got fantastic reviews

Adrian Cox is also a member of the British jazz band Kansas Smith's House Band, where his distinctive sound and songwriting is invaluable. The love of the clarinet is prominent in his soulful and inspiring playing style.

- If you need to describe Cox's style in one word, you can use "hot".
