Church jazz double feature

From 3.30 to 4.30 PM Jesper Riis / Pojken Flensborg Duo
In 2019, the duo released Music for small ensemble vol. 3 feat. Jesper Riis (trumpet) with several of Pojken Flensborg's compositions.

The duo will present some of these songs at this concert, but there will also be detours to hymns as well as Danish and Nordic summer songs – and maybe even some jazz!

The music has a lyrical, flowy, and dreamy touch that will blend in with the beautiful church space.

For 15 years, the Piano Workshop has set the stage for this special constellation: Three pianists playing simultaneously in the same room, yet on different grand pianos.

The concerts have become such an attraction that people flok to the little piano shop to witness. The three pianists have gradually developed a near-telepathic ensemble with plenty of room for beautiful themes, improvisation, and musical bits delivered with a twinkle in their eyes and a smile on the lips.

Each year, the trio settled on a new theme with this year's being the Nordic folk tone, which the church will definitely be a suited venue for.

Three grand pianos will be placed in the aisle of the church from which the notes will flow in a gentle stream from a total of six hands.
