Hard-swinging standards and groovy original tunes

Guitarist Jens Christian Kwella and bassist Adrian Christensen are two well-known acts from the Danish jazz community. The duo's hallmarks are high spirits, good swing, and intense ensemble.

The repertoire will be a blend of hard-swinging jazz standards and groovy original tunes. The two musicians are known from a wide range of leading bands and have released several critically acclaimed CDs.

Jens Kristian Kwella together with Torben Bjørnskov released his seventh album Slowing Down The Tune in 2018. Regarding the record, JAZZ Special wrote:

Kwella has previously been hailed by reviewers as one of the mainland's leading guitarists and compared to names like John Scofield, Kenny Burrel, and Herb Ellis.

Adrian Christensen is a bass player gaining traction both in Denmark and internationally. With bands such as Abekejser and Bangin 'Bülows Nice Jazz Quartet, he helps pull jazz in new directions and is not shy to take on challenges in the form of new genres.
