Both are masterful improvisers and musicians, and have played together in various groups and constellations for more than 25 years, including the Mokuto Trio (with P.O. Jørgens) and Ictus (with Marc Ducret and Stefan Pasborg). They have also been able to consult with Peter Brötzman, Tom Rainey, Pierre Dørge and Herb Robertson.

Saxophonist and composer Lotte Anker is known as a bandleader and initiator for several highly acclaimed bands and constellations, e.g., Anchor, Taborn, Cleaver, trio with Sylvie Courvoiser and Ikue Mori as well as What River Ensemble. She has also played and recorded with Marilyn Crispell, Tim Berne, Paal Nilssen-Love, Peter Brötzman, Phil Minton, Evan Parker, Mats Gustafsson, Joelle Leandre, Andrew Cyrille, Okkyung Lee, Sten Sandell, and others.

Bassist Peter Friis Nielsen is the grandmaster of electric bass on the Danish free jazz and improv scene and is known for his original sound and playing style. Since the 1970s, he has been a central musician in groups such as 4-5 Avantis, Clinch, Zirenes, Wild Mans Band, and Ghost in the Machine. In addition, he has played and recorded with John Tchicai, Evan Parker, Peter Brötzman, Louis Moholo, Kenneth Knudsen, Jesper Zeuthen, Jan Kaspersen, Marilyn Mazur and Mats Gustafson, and others.
