Musical play and mutual understanding
Gorm Askjær Trio's members have known each other for a long time and established a special ensemble based on play and mutual understanding.
Within the framework of the compositions, there is a great deal of freedom for each musician to unfold, and the result is both homogenous and vibrant.
There is humor, seriousness, swing, celebration, thoughtfulness, tradition, innovation, and high ceilings.
In May, the trio released Blodmånen og dig with references to the greater jazz universe. Bill Frisell, but still unmistakably Danish.
