Love for basic sound and a fascination for experiments

That's the starting point for these two musicians.

Expectations are challenged in a redefinition of traditional instruments and songs, and folklore is restored as a concept through new and wordless storytelling.

Carolyn Goodwin was born in Ireland and has been living in Copenhagen since 2016. Her work spans wide and has included opera, theater, and alternative pop as well as new and improvisational music.

With Irish Composers Collective and Crash Ensemble, she has performed new musical pieces in personal collaborations with, among others, Steve Reich and Hayden Chisholm. In addition, she has toured Europe and North America with the American band Bon Iver. She is a member of the Copenhagen based Thou Sonic Friend and We Go Where We Go as well as the Irish band Clang Sayne, and is the founder of Copenhagen Clarinet Choir.

Vocalist and percussionist Mette Marie J. Ørnstrup has been on the cutting edge of many musical genres, both as an improviser, performer, and global musician.

With one foot in free improvisation and inspiration from Ghanaian master drumming, as well as a year-and-a-half stay in Istanbul studying classical Ottoman and Turkish songs, she is able to deliver a wide range of musical concepts.
