Vital and rebellious songs

The Copenhagen-based experimental trio Slim0 - Lena Milovic, Mija Milovic, and Simin Stine Ramezanali - released their debut album Sol i øjet in March 2020 in the form of a porcelain sun with a USB drive on the back.

Only 40 copies were made and the album was mixed by Jens Benz and Spellcaster as well as mastered by Peter Peter.

Slim0 has been around for more than two years and debuted in the summer of 2017 with the performance of Søstrene og Macbeth.

They have played concerts at Honeyland Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and CPH Trash Festival.

The band's instrumentation shifts - from live clay instruments created by visual artist Simin Stine Ramezanali, to a classic rock band with guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, and electronics - always with the voices of the three members creating a now-metallic folklore expression.

Slim0 sings vital and rebellious songs about sisterly love, falling in love, the magic of speech and song, the fear of losing the power of life, and about the sun toppling and recharging you. Like a warm-blooded fist around your collar and a reunion of familiar powers. A reminder of the heat that lingers in your body and waits to be shed.

Mini-festival at COLABS - Sunday, July 12
For the third year in a row, the improvisational collective The Community and the design company Knud's Kiosk in collaboration with DMF to a mini-festival during the Aarhus Jazz Festival / Sommerjazz packed with acoustically experimental music and improvisation.

The program offers local heroes, strong solo concerts, poetry, hot DJs, and innovative music.

Imagine a summer evening in the courtyard in front of the old garage, where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the sun during the concerts and forget about the corona for a while.

The rustic setting of the industrial harbor environment and the slaughterhouse right next door are perfect for creating an informal atmosphere and opening up the music to a wide audience in a festive and inclusive way. The music can already be heard when you stroll down Jægergårdsgade and follow the sound of something new.
