A guaranteed swinging afternoon

Spend an afternoon in the company of two of Denmark's most talented jazz musicians: pianist Henrik Gunde and Peter Vuust on double bass. Over the years, the two have played countless concerts together in different constellations, including in Peter Vuust Trio feat. Veronica Mortensen. Together, they will interpret classics from their standard repertoire of jazz as well as their own compositions. It is guaranteed to be a swinging experience.

Henrik Gunde is one of the nation's most skilled musicians who fits into all formats and masters most styles. He is also blessed with a rare and formidable swing. Clearly, Henrik Gunde has studied the old masters' rhythms and approach to music, but without sacrificing his own originality. Most recently, he and Jakob Munck have been nominated for a Grammy in the category of special releases for the album Frit efter… Carl Nielsen.

Henrik Gunde is also known for his many years as a pianist in DR Big Band.

Peter Vuust is a professor at Aarhus University and the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus / Aalborg, head of the Center for Music in the Brain, and is also one of the country's busiest sidemen. He has been featured on more than 90 records, including with several international jazz stars such as Tim Hagans, Mal Waldron, Ted Curson, and Jukkis Uotila. He is known for his groovy and responsive backing and extremely melodic solo playing. As a composer and bassist, he has released six albums, most recently the CD Leaves of Love featuring Lars Jansson (p), Veronica Mortensen (voc), and Peter Asplund (trp).
