Strong and expressive vocal jazz

Jazz singer Thera Hoeijmans has established herself with three critically acclaimed CDs as a strong jazz vocalist and songwriter.

Many know her from her stint as the front figure in the former dance band Cut’N’Move, from various TV programs, or from her participation in different musicals at Aarhus Theater.

At Aarhus Jazz Festival 2018, she premiered the project Ladybird – a tribute to the women of jazz to the great enthusiasm of both critics and audiences. JazzLive wrote:

Thera Hoeijmans unfolded elegantly and convincingly not only part of the history of jazz, Aarhus jazz, and women, but also the large range of her strong and sweet voice.

Thera Hoeijmans is a woman with a versatile talent who is recognized for her strong compositions,  expressive vocals, and stage presence.

At the concert, she is flanked by Pojken Flensborg (piano) and Torben Bjørnskov (bass), as a swinging rhythm group, and you can look forward to an atmospheric concert with some of jazz's classics and Thera Hoeijmans' own songs.
