Stylish standards led by an award-winning singer

Karmen Rõivassepp is definitely one of Danish jazz's most promising and best singers, having won several awards for her eminent musicality. For the unofficial opening of the Aarhus Jazz Festival, she and jazz guitarist Morten Haugshøj have assembled an exciting team to properly kick off the festival.

Here we have the forward-thinking, sublime drummer Frederik Bülow and the talented, established double bassist Peter Friis. The musicians have played together in other groups, but this is the first time that exactly this constellation sees the light of day.

The concert offers interpretations of a wide range of well-known – and lesser-known – jazz standards performed with style by Karmen Rõivassepp and the rest of the group. Join an exciting, intense, and versatile jazz concert, which really kicks off the jazz festival.
